This is a pair of ironstone square cereal bowls or soup bowls made by Johnson Brothers, England in the Friendly Village series and The Covered Bridge design of hand colored brown transfer.
Each square cereal bowl measures 6.2 inches in diameter and was made in England 1950s long before production was moved to Indonesia in the 1990s.
The square cereal or soup bowls are in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is a manufacturing flaw on the bottom base rim of one as shown, which is no problem.
