The is a vintage 1940-1950s sock darner of brown and white 2 tone early plastic in a shaped oval with handle, not unlike the more traditional darning eggs.
The darner was made in the USA 1940-1950s and measures 6 inches long by 2.25 inches wide by 1.5 inches thick.
The handled brown and white darner is in very good +++ used vintage condition with great patina and normal signs of use.
The darning tool is a great decorative accent as well and a great vintage sewing gadget, and makes a great display if grouped with other vintage sewing and needlework tools.
You could still use it for sock darning! How's that!
