This is an antique brown transferware salad plate made by W. T. Copeland & Sons, England between 1867 and 1890 during the late Victorian era.
The plate measures 7.75 inches in diameter and features a classical landscape design in a pattern called English Abbey Ruins with an acorn and oak leaf border.
The plate is in in very good +++ used vintage condition with use marks, the pattern shows occasional flaws in the tissue pattern application from the manufacturing process ...which did happen frequently.
A wonderful example of mid to late Victorian era romantic transferware by Copeland.
Gorgeous and so decorative!
