This is a 1950s fancy Japanese cup and saucer made by Saji Japan just after the Occupied China period of 1945-1952.
The all hand decorated pedestal cup and saucer features pink and maroon bands, blue heart shaped vignettes of bouquets and fancy raised gold overlay and gold trim.
The pretty pedestal cup is 2.5 inches high and the saucer is 5.65 in diameter.
The pretty cup and saucer are in very good +++ used vintage condition with a tiny rim chip that I didn't find for months and no gold wear.
A very pretty pattern, and perfect for a tea party.
