This is an English sugar sifting spoon or pierced sugar sifter spoon made 1900-1910s, during the Edwardian period in England with a Mother Of Pearl handle.
The pierced sugar sifting spoon is 5 inches long with a 1.75 inch in diameter bowl.
The sugar sifting spoon is in very good +++ used vintage condition with only minor signs of use or wear. We don't find these often any more.
Sugar sifting spoons were developed to sift the crushed sugar available before modern granulated, or powdered sugar onto tea time muffins, crumpets or pancakes.
