This is a pair of marked sterling silver figural Sea Horse earrings from an artisan in Honolulu Hawaii that were hand made in the 1960s and brought home as a souvenir.
The earrings have screw backs, measure 1 inch high by .5 of an inch wide and weigh 5.5 grams of silver.
Neither of the seahorse earrings are marked, and although the fittings and sterling silver marks on the screw backs are the same that Ming's used on all earrings of the period, a collector has indicated that they may not be Ming's as the fin is missing on these earrings.
The figural sterling silver seahorse earrings have very nice detail and have a lot of patina...we just cleaned the front enough to photograph well. A very pretty set of original Hawaiian sea horse earrings.
