This is an all hand made English sterling silver salt spoon made from a King George VI sterling silver sixpence from Rhodesia dated 1937 which is the year George VI was crowned after the abdication of Edward VIII.
The one-of-a-kind concave sixpence has been mounted to a barley twist handle with a beaded wire open work heart shaped finial.
The salt spoon measures 3.25 inches long with the sixpence bowl measuring .75 inch in diameter.
The salt spoon is in excellent used vintage condition and is great item of British royal memorabilia and a souvenir of King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II.
