This is an antique Victorian or Edwardian era black millinery or clothing trim like an epaulet made of hand sewn bugle beads on a curved crescent shape with a black velvet backing.

The trim was made in England 1890-1910 and has loose curves or arches of bugle beads in a 3 dimensional crescent.

The millinery trim measures 4.5 inches long by 1.5 inches wide and is in very good +++ condition with only 3 loose ends that I can see.

These old trims are so cool and hard to find.

Because of the black, this may be from a mourning outfit, as the Victorian custome of a year in black clothing was popularized by Queen Victoria after loving her beloved Prince Albert in 1861, and never leaving off her black mourning clothes until her death in 1901.
