This is an Imari pattern cup and saucer and matching plate, or teacup trio made by G. P. Ltd or Gret Pottery Limited, England in a pattern called Sevres dating to 1880-1890s.
The Imari colored pattern is similar to sets seen on Downton Abbey...especially those favored by Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham.
The Imari pattern was popularized in the Victorian period right through the Edwardian era to 1940s by the discovery and popularity of the Japanese china from the Imari region that featured bright cobalt blue, red and green and gold.
The cup is 2.75 high, the saucer is 5.5 in diameter and the plate is 6 inches in diameter.
The Imari ironstone cup and saucer with matching plate are in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only some minor gold trim wear and a few mineral specks. Violet would love this set.
