This is a pretty hand crocheted green variegated thread and teal heather yarn tea cozy.
The hand made artisan crocheted tea cozy or tea cosy is made in a popcorn stitch by a local artisan here in the US.
The medium tea cozy measures 6 inches high by 10 inches wide and features a lovely green variegated crochet thread with a top of teal heather yarn. The tea cozy is stretchy.
There are 2 openings for the spout and handle of the teapot, and another round hole at the top for the teapot finial or knob to go through.
I have photographed it on a 4-6 cup Brown Betty teapot.
The tea cozy or tea cosy is in excellent used vintage condition with no stains, spots or pulls.
It was suggested that tea cozies are also great at camouflaging less than perfect teapots that are too special to discard. They definitely keep the tea in the pot warmer longer.
And they are such a decorative as well as useful item for your tea table!
