This is a Barratt's, England red transferware eggcup or egg cup in the Old Castle pattern manufactured in the 1950s in red or pink.
The ironstone eggcup measures 2 inches high by 2 inches in diameter and is in very good +++ used vintage condition with only a tiny rim chip under the glaze made during manufacturing.
A lovely pattern that is hard to find.
